Tombi – our new baby orangutan

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]We recently heard that Peanut, the orangutan that we have adopted for the past few years, has made the move to go back into the wild. This is fantastic news for Peanut and we’re delighted that he feels secure and confident enough to make the leap. However, we felt rather sad not to have our very own “baby” to sponsor any longer. We contacted Sepilok, the orangutan orphanage in Borneo, where Peanut lived and grew up for the past few years and they suggested that we might like to sponsor Tombi.

Tombi arrived at Sepilok at 2 years old weighing just 3kg. He already enjoys his climbing practice and especially loves cuddling up to his friends. We are very excited to be able to help in Tombi’s welfare and will keep you updated about his development at the Sepilok rehabilitation centre.
